Renisha Marie: When did you know comedy was what you wanted to do?
Kymedienne: I was at work one day talking about another co-working, because she came to work high and would get high on her lunch break. You can only imagine how she acted and I would say things about her; and onetime another co-worker laughed so hard she hit her head on her desk from what I said. At that point, I had to give comedy a try and have been doing so since then.
Renisha Marie: Were you always funny?
Kymedienne: Yes, I always had a sense of humor from a little girl.
Renisha Marie: What was the best gig you ever performed?
Kymedienne: I did a show in San Juan Capistrano; it was the first time I got a standing ovation. I was on comedy high. It was truly a great feeling. Then I got another one in San Diego at the Comedy Palace.

Kymedienne: I have a few, Mo'Nique, Lisa Lampanelli, Cocoa Brown, Earthquake, JB Smoove, Kevin Hart and Corey Holcomb.

Kymedienne: I would have to say Mo'Nique. Watching her and
listening to her interviews taught me a lot. She always said stay true to who
you are and I have done that.

comedian should have?
Kymedienne: A good comedian should always promote themselves and not take notes on stage. It's your material that you wrote you have to work it. Notes are a crutch.
